Course Overview
The Introduction to Well Control course provides potential well control certificate candidates with an awareness of well control theory, practices and equipment using a combination of drilling simulator and classroom theory/exercises.
From 01 September 2014, Level 2 will become a mandatory prerequisite for:
•Candidates obtaining IWCF certification for the first time.
•Candidates with IWCF or IADC WellCAP driller or supervisor certificates which have lapsed over 24 months beyond the expiry date.
Who should do the course?
All well operations personnel who are undertaking a well control course for the first time, for example:
Roughneck , Assistant derrickman, Derrickman, Casing technician, Barge engineer, Cementer , Coil tubing, Completions engineer, Drilling fluid engineer, Facilities engineer, Geologist, Marine supervisor, Safety officer, mechanical service engineer, Offshore installation manager, Operations engineer, Operations technician, Petroleum engineer, Service engineer, Subsea engineer, Subsea supervisor, Well maintenance supervisor, Well test engineer, Wire line engineer

Course Delivery
The course is delivered through presentation of a series of interactive lectures supported by videos and animations, supplemented by a classroom workbook and further self-study exercises.
Successful completion of the course and examination will result in IWCF Level 2 certification which is valid for five years.
Duration: 4 Days
Course Fee: 1800$
